The Bhen-ngibhen tradition is one in which the groom brings items to the bride’s house in the form of household items such as cupboards, chairs, beds, and all kinds of kitchen utensils. This tradition is rooted in the kinship of the couple and is considered important to the health of the marriage. This study explores the cultural values, norms, and laws underlying this tradition through a qualitative approach. It has been noted that Ben Given is not only a symbol of practical preparation, but also connotes responsibility and social involvement.
Marriage is a permanent relationship between two people and is recognized as valid by the relevant society based on current marriage regulations.Marriage takes different forms and purposes depending on the local culture.The purpose of marriage in traditional kinship communities is to maintain and perpetuate descent along the paternal or maternal line
